The Challenge

Important manufacturing information existed, but not in one form that operations could reliably act on. Sales records, specifications, production updates, documents, scheduling, and management reporting lived in separate tools and local knowledge. Generic project software could show tasks but not the relationships and exceptions that governed actual production.

What We Engineered

  • Shared job record from intake through production and completion
  • Product, item, and specification records with production stage tracking
  • Scheduling and departmental work queues
  • Documents, notes, attachments, and revision context
  • Exception, hold, rework, and priority handling
  • Operational dashboards and management reporting
  • Integration adapters for retained business systems and data sources

Architecture & Ownership

A central operations application maintains normalized job and production records. Workflow states and ownership rules translate departmental handoffs into visible queues, while integration adapters exchange selected data with systems that remained valuable. Roles are based on operational responsibility, with change history and controlled status transitions for consequential updates.

Outcome

Departments work from a shared definition of job state and ownership. Managers can see blocked or aging work without assembling reports manually. Documents and decisions remain connected to the operational record, and existing systems can be retained where appropriate while the custom layer closes the gaps between them.

Production data scattered across tools?

We unify the job record without forcing a rip-and-replace.
