The Challenge
Virtualization migrations are rarely just a hypervisor conversion. Workloads depend on firmware modes, virtual hardware, networks, storage, backups, licenses, identity, DNS, application timing, and undocumented startup relationships. A successful boot is not proof that the business service is healthy.

Architecture & Ownership
Each migration was treated as a service transition: discovery produces a workload map and disposition plan, target clusters are built and tested before cutover, and source systems remain available until defined acceptance checks pass. Management networks and administrative identities are reviewed during migration rather than cloned blindly, leaving documented operations rather than a collection of converted virtual disks.
Outcome
Organizations reduce dependence on platforms that no longer fit their cost or operational model. Infrastructure aligns with actual workload and availability requirements. Recovery, networking, and management are documented as part of the migration, and the target remains serviceable by the organization or its chosen support team.
