PURPOSE
Phone scams use pressure and impersonation to get information, money, or remote access.
COMMON CLAIMS
Scammers may pretend to be IT support, banks, vendors, government agencies, delivery companies, or executives.
RED FLAGS
Requests for passwords, MFA codes, remote access, payment, gift cards, or secrecy are suspicious.
WHAT TO DO
Hang up and contact the organization through a known trusted number.
BEST PRACTICE
Never let an unexpected caller rush you into action.
