How to improve scan quality
PURPOSE
Clear scans are easier to read, search, and archive.
BEFORE SCANNING
Clean the scanner glass, flatten pages, remove wrinkles when possible, and align pages correctly.
SETTINGS
Increase resolution for small text, use color only when needed, and choose the correct document size.
CHECK OUTPUT
Review the scan for shadows, cut-off edges, skewed pages, and unreadable text.
BEST PRACTICE
Rescan immediately if quality is poor instead of sharing a barely readable file.
