How to shred confidential documents

PURPOSE Shredding prevents confidential paper records from being read or recovered. WHAT TO SHRED Shred documents with personal information, customer information, financial data, legal content, passwords, contracts, or confidential business details. DO NOT Do not place sensitive documents in regular trash or open recycling bins. CHECK Remove non-paper items if required by the shred bin or shredder. BEST PRACTICE When unsure, shred rather than toss.
