How to package fragile items safely
PURPOSE
Proper packaging reduces the chance of damage during shipping.
MATERIALS
Use a sturdy box, padding, bubble wrap, paper fill, or other protective material.
PACKING
Wrap the item, prevent movement inside the box, and reinforce seams with tape.
LABELING
Mark the package as fragile if appropriate, but do not rely on the label alone.
BEST PRACTICE
Shake the closed package gently. If the item moves, add more padding.
