How to organize digital notes

PURPOSE Organized notes make decisions, reminders, and references easier to find. STRUCTURE Use clear titles, dates, topics, headings, and tags or folders when available. CAPTURE THE IMPORTANT PARTS Record decisions, action items, links, questions, and next steps. CLEAN UP Remove duplicates, archive old notes, and move important notes to shared documentation when needed. BEST PRACTICE Notes should help future you, not punish future you.
