What information to include in a support ticket

PURPOSE Complete ticket details reduce back-and-forth and speed up resolution. BASIC DETAILS Include your name, contact method, affected system or device, issue description, urgency, and business impact. TECHNICAL DETAILS Include error messages, screenshots, browser or device details, time of issue, and steps to reproduce. SCOPE Say whether the issue affects only you, your team, a location, customers, or everyone. BEST PRACTICE If you already tried fixes, list them so support does not ask you to repeat the same steps.
