How to tell if an issue is urgent

PURPOSE Correct urgency helps support prioritize fairly and respond to critical issues faster. URGENT ISSUES Urgent issues usually block business-critical work, affect many users, create security risk, impact customers, or stop time-sensitive operations. LESS URGENT ISSUES Minor inconvenience, cosmetic problems, how-to questions, or nonblocking requests are usually lower priority. INCLUDE IMPACT Explain who is affected and what work is blocked. BEST PRACTICE Do not mark everything urgent. If everything is urgent, nothing is.
