How to retire outdated documentation

PURPOSE Retiring outdated documentation prevents users from following old or incorrect instructions. WHEN TO RETIRE Retire articles for discontinued systems, replaced processes, duplicate content, obsolete forms, or unsupported workflows. BEFORE RETIRING Confirm there is no active need and link to replacement content when available. ARCHIVE Keep an archive if historical reference is required. BEST PRACTICE Do not leave outdated articles published just because nobody wants to make the decision.
