How to identify suspicious links
PURPOSE
Avoid fake login pages, malware downloads, and scams.
CHECK THE LINK
Hover over the link or long-press on mobile to preview the actual destination. Look for misspellings, strange domains, extra words, shortened URLs, and domains that do not match the sender.
BE CAREFUL WITH
Buttons, QR codes, shortened links, file-sharing links, and links that demand immediate login.
SAFER OPTION
Go directly to the known website by typing the address or using a saved bookmark instead of clicking the email link.
REPORT
If a link appears suspicious, report the message before interacting with it.
