How to navigate Salesforce

PURPOSE How to move through Salesforce apps, tabs, records, lists, and search. GENERAL STEPS Open Salesforce in a supported browser, sign in with the correct work account, and navigate to the relevant app, object, record, list view, report, dashboard, file, or settings area. VERIFY RESULTS Confirm that the record, field, activity, file, report, dashboard, list view, notification, or access request appears as expected before closing the task. TROUBLESHOOTING If Salesforce behaves unexpectedly, refresh the page, confirm you are in the correct app, check your permissions, try another supported browser, and capture any error message. BEST PRACTICE Keep Salesforce data accurate and current. Bad CRM data spreads faster than gossip and is much harder to clean up.
