How to write a clear support request

PURPOSE A clear support request helps the right person solve the issue faster. INCLUDE What you were trying to do, what happened instead, when it started, whether others are affected, the system or file involved, and any error message. ATTACH Screenshots, screen recordings, file names, device names, or transaction IDs when relevant. ONE ISSUE PER REQUEST Separate unrelated problems into separate requests so each can be routed correctly. AVOID Do not write only 'it does not work.' That sentence has personally injured every helpdesk queue ever created. GOOD SUBJECT Use a subject that includes the system, symptom, and impact.
