How to safely sign out of shared devices

WHY IT MATTERS Leaving accounts signed in on shared or public devices can expose email, files, payroll, customer data, and other private information. STEPS Sign out of every account, close the browser, and clear saved credentials if prompted. Do not choose 'remember me' on shared devices. CHECK Look for active sessions in account settings when available and sign out of devices you do not recognize. AVOID Do not download sensitive files to shared devices unless absolutely necessary. BEST PRACTICE Use your own trusted device for sensitive work whenever possible.
