How to remove a retired device from NinjaOne
PURPOSE
How to retire, archive, or remove a device record when appropriate.
GENERAL STEPS
Open NinjaOne in a supported browser or approved app, sign in with the correct work account, and navigate to the relevant organization, location, device, alert, patch, script, report, remote access, or ticket area.
VERIFY RESULTS
Confirm that the device, alert, patch status, script output, remote session, report, inventory value, ticket link, or note appears as expected before closing the task.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If NinjaOne behaves unexpectedly, refresh the page, confirm you are viewing the correct organization and device, check your permissions, verify the endpoint is online, and capture any error message or timestamp.
BEST PRACTICE
Use remote management tools carefully. A script or reboot sent to the wrong device is not support; it is chaos with a login screen.
