How to avoid authentication fatigue attacks
WHAT IT IS
Authentication fatigue happens when an attacker repeatedly triggers MFA prompts hoping you will approve one just to make it stop.
WHAT TO DO
Do not approve prompts you did not initiate. Deny them if possible and report the activity immediately.
CHANGE PASSWORD IF ADVISED
Repeated prompts may mean someone has your password. Follow support guidance to change it safely.
PREVENTION
Use strong unique passwords and report unexpected prompts early.
RULE OF THUMB
No login from you means no approval from you.
