How to create a knowledgebase article

PURPOSE A knowledgebase article should help users answer a question, complete a task, or solve a known issue. BASIC STRUCTURE Use a clear title, audience, purpose, prerequisites, steps, troubleshooting notes, escalation guidance, and related articles. WRITING STYLE Be direct, searchable, and specific. Use the words users are likely to search for. KEEP IT CURRENT Assign an owner, review date, and update process. BEST PRACTICE One article should solve one main problem. A mega-article that tries to solve everything usually solves nothing.
