PURPOSE Spreadsheets often print badly unless page settings are adjusted. BEFORE PRINTING Use print preview. Check page orientation, margins, scaling, headers, footers, and page breaks. COMMON SETTINGS Set the print area, repeat header rows, fit columns to one page when appropriate, and choose portrait or landscape. AVOID Do not shrink a large sheet so much that nobody can read it. Tiny print is not a productivity feature. BEST PRACTICE Export to PDF first when sharing a printable version.
