How to create a meeting agenda
PURPOSE
An agenda keeps a meeting focused and helps attendees prepare.
WHAT TO INCLUDE
Include topics, owners, time estimates, required decisions, and any pre-reading.
ORDER
Put the most important items first in case time runs short.
KEEP IT REALISTIC
Do not pack a 30-minute meeting with two hours of topics. The calendar cannot bend physics, no matter how much optimism you add.
BEST PRACTICE
Share the agenda before the meeting so attendees can contribute or ask questions early.
