How to reduce background noise on calls

PURPOSE Reducing background noise makes conversations easier to understand. BEFORE THE CALL Choose a quiet location, close doors or windows, and silence nearby devices. EQUIPMENT Use a headset or microphone close to your mouth when possible. MEETING SETTINGS Enable noise suppression if available and mute when not speaking. BE AWARE Keyboards, fans, pets, traffic, and side conversations can be louder than expected on calls.
