How to record your screen

PURPOSE Screen recordings help show issues that are hard to explain in words. BEFORE RECORDING Close unrelated windows, disable notifications, and remove sensitive information from view. WHAT TO RECORD Show the steps that lead to the issue, the error message, and what you expected to happen. KEEP IT SHORT Record only the relevant portion. A two-minute recording is useful; a twenty-minute desktop documentary is not. AFTER RECORDING Review the file before sharing and remove anything sensitive.
